NEW TWIST ON LEARNING THE ALPHABET

26 Letters and Alphabet Reaching New, Early Learners

ATLANTA, GA, January 30,2009 – Dr. Glenna Tyler, well known educator and advocate for the No Child Left Behind Act, and Christian Tyler, Entrepreneur and hip-hop artist, continue to raise awareness with their 26 Letters Program, providing a much needed learning foundation.

“A strong foundation truly makes a difference throughout a child’s schooling,” said Dr. Tyler. “We have worked hard to develop a curriculum to build that foundation all while making the learning experience something that children enjoy.”

The 26 Letters Program is just that – something the children enjoy. Throughout the development of 26 Letters, Dr. Tyler tested her curriculum and observed an overwhelming positive response from the students. In one classroom test, children were singing along with the song during the second listen.

The 26 Letters Program was developed to reach children of all ages and backgrounds, reinforcing the learning of the alphabet in a hip-hop song style, furthering the diversification of students reached. Christian Tyler, Dr. Tyler’s business partner and childhood education advocate, arranged the lyrics and developed the song style.

“It was of critical importance to us to develop a program that reaches the children, where they are, and how they learn. It was important for us to show, by action, the power of the Alphabet; words, sentences and paragraphs. I think we have accomplished this,” Dr. Tyler said.

The series is targeted towards parents, daycare centers, preschools and early childhood care providers, as well as those learning English as second language.

The series includes the song, coloring book, learning book, flash cards and a child’s t-shirt, and can be purchased through The 26 Letters website at www.eealphabet26.com.
